    The Lincoln Public Library circulates a variety of devices. Check one out today!

     

    Launchpads
    Launchpads are learning tablets that both kids and adults will love. Each Launchpad is pre-loaded with high-quality, ad-free learning apps and games. No connectivity or downloading is required for use.

     

    Kindles

    • Lincoln Public Library cardholders in good standing and 18 years of age or older may borrow a kindle. The limit is 1 device per card and must be returned directly to Library Staff at the Lincoln Public Library. It may not be returned in the book drop, media drop, or to any other library.

    • Kindles are checked out for 3 weeks with no renewals.

    • A patron will need to complete an “Electronic Device Agreement”, acknowledging financial responsibility for lost or damaged equipment. Each agreement will be kept on file for future reference.

    • Electronic Devices can be checked out at the Circulation Desk from 9:30 AM until 1 hour before the library closes.

    • Kindle: Late return fees are $2 per day overdue.

    • The patron is responsible for full replacement cost if the Electronic Device or any parts are lost, stolen, damaged, or otherwise not returned.

    • If any technical problems are encountered, the Electronic Device should be returned immediately to the Reference Desk and the Electronic Resources Librarian notified.

    • All Electronic Device borrowers will be required to sign an agreement form.

     

    Mobile Hotspots

    • Mobile hotspots are available for adults with a valid Ocean State Libraries card in good standing (no fees over $5) and a valid photo ID.
       
    • Patrons must sign a user agreement and make a $20.00 cash deposit at the library when checking out the Hotspot. The deposit will be refunded to the borrower when the Hotspot is returned in working condition. Any late fines incurred during this time will be deducted from the deposit.
       
    • Hotspots may be checked out for 3 weeks and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. No renewals. There is a $5 per day late fee. Hotspots must be returned inside the library. They cannot be returned in the book drop. (If they are found inside the book drop, the user will be charged a $25 fine.)
       
    • All components of the Hotspot must be present upon return for the library to consider the item checked in.
