Independent readers through age 12 are invited to come in by appointment and read to a special guest at the library. We are happy to have a certified therapy dog who loves to listen to children read. This 4 legged friend and their owner have completed training with Windwalker Professional Pet Assisted Therapy Program and they are excited about this event. Fifteen minute appointments will be scheduled between 6:00 and 7:00 PM. Please register your child for ONE of the four time slots. This is a fun and educational program designed to help kids practice early literacy skills with a specially trained K-9 friend. Parents are asked to arrive early to check in and allow their child to choose a book to read.
