This introductory class will meet on Wednesday, May 30th at 6:30 PM or Wednesday, June 20th at 6:30 PM.
Have you been hearing the word Mindfulness and wondering what the buzz is all about? Have you wondered if it is the same as meditation? Do you already have a meditation practice? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are invited to come and learn more about this topic. All levels of practice are welcome.
These sessions are taught by local resident, Samantha Dorian, a Butler Hospital Activities Therapist who teaches mindfulness based techniques on an inpatient ITU. She holds an M.Div. from Harvard University and is a Qualified Teacher in Mindfulness from the UMass Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society. She is an MBSR teacher-in-training and has been practicing meditation for 30 years, having practiced a wide variety of traditions spanning Hinduism, Christianity, and Buddhism.
