The OES (Occupational Employment Statistics) program produces occupational employment and wage estimates for over 700 occupations. These data are available for the U.S., for individual States and selected Metropolitan Areas, as well as for specific industries.
Occupational Outlook Handbook
The Occupational Outlook Handbook is a nationally recognized source of career information, designed to provide valuable assistance to individuals making decisions about their future work lives. The Handbook is revised every two years.
The O*NET database includes information on skills, abilities, knowledges, work activities, and interests associated with occupations. This information can be used to facilitate career exploration, vocational counseling, and a variety of human resources functions, such as developing job orders and position descriptions and aligning training with current workplace needs. Information in O*NET is available for over 950 occupations. Each occupational title and code is based on the most current version (2000) of the Standard Occupational Classification system.
The Dictionary of Occupational Titles has been replaced by the O*NET.
